MusAfrica Namur has a rich and varied collection that bears witness to the complex history and exchanges between Belgium and Africa, particularly Central Africa. Through objects, documents and images, the museum invites visitors to examine this shared heritage in a critical and contextualised way.
The museum houses several thousand objects, both natural and artefacts. Each object provides a better understanding of Africa, its environments and cultures.
The MusAfrica library contains nearly 26,000 works, published from the late XVIII century to the present day. The older books allow visitors to explore how Africa was perceived, described and narrated through the colonial lens. More recent publications offer new perspectives.

The first level of text on the information panels is in three languages (French, Dutch and English). The descriptions are in French only. In the future, a QR code will provide all explanations in three languages.
Unfortunately, the museum does not have a restaurant or cafeteria. However, there are many restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity.
